Big Truck Salvage Warranty Information

❖ All parts must be installed by an ASE Certified Mechanic, or warranty will be void.
❖ Engines and Transmissions are guaranteed for thirty days with the option to purchase our
extended warranty. Extended warranty must be added at time of initial purchase.
❖ Engine Warranty Covers the Following:
• Excessive oil usage
• Knocking coming from lower rod or main bearings and/or wrist pin
• Cylinder head to be in good working order, not allowing any coolant to be lost in oil or
through exhaust. Also, to have all valves to be functioning properly
• Cylinder liners/sleeves
• Any excessive smoke (excludes fuel, faulty injectors, or turbo)
• Crankshaft
• Camshaft
(Engine Warranty does not cover any and all electrical parts left on the engine. Also
includes water pumps, fuel pumps/injection pump, Turbos, EGR Cooler, Gaskets/Seals,
Injectors, Jake Brakes, and Labor Costs. Warranty does not cover any oil or coolant leaks,
or labor costs.)
❖ Transmission Warranty Covers the Following:
• Any damaged gears
• Bearings
• Synchronizer
• Internal clutches
• Internal valve bodies
(Transmission Warranty does not cover leaks, rear yokes, clutch brake, removable bell
housing, external electrical components, external air valves, top shift plate, or labor
costs.)
❖ Differentials Warranty Covers the Following:
• Chipped or broken teeth
• Badly worn spider gears
(Differential Warranty does not cover oil leaks, Yokes, Bearings, Front power divider, or
labor costs.)
❖ Power Dividers Warranty Covers the Following:
• Worn teeth or broken gears
• Bearings
(Power Divider Warranty does not cover oil leaks, yokes, or labor costs.)
❖ Air Conditioner Compressors: Buyer must change orifice tube, evaporator, and refill oil to
manufacturer’s specs, or all warranty is void.
❖ Steering Gear Boxes are guaranteed not to leak.
❖ Radiators, condensers and intercoolers are guaranteed not to leak.
❖ Cylinder heads are guaranteed against cracks only.
❖ Electrical control modules, computers, and clusters have a five-day guarantee on an
exchange basis only.
❖ All parts sold excluding electrical modules, computers, fifth wheels and tires are guaranteed
for 30 days.
❖ Tires are SOLD AS IS. Big Rig Truck Salvage is not liable for any loss or damage incurred by the
use of a tire purchased from our yard.
❖ Wiring Harnesses are SOLD AS IS.
❖ Body Parts are guaranteed to fit.
❖ Turbos are guaranteed for 30 days, excluding the actuator.
❖ Fifth Wheels are SOLD AS IS. Big Rig Truck Salvage is not liable for any loss or damage
incurred by the use of a fifth wheel part purchased from our yard.
